Paid Actors & Volunteers​

Our haunted attraction is operated by a passionate team of seasonal actors, volunteers, and staff who work together to create an unforgettable experience for our guests. As a nonprofit organization, proceeds are reinvested into improving the attraction each year through new sets, costumes, props, special effects, and guest experiences.
 

Seasonal scare actors (ages 16+) may be eligible for a performance stipend as compensation, based on experience, performance, reliability, and assigned role. 
 

Individuals under the age of 16 are welcome to participate as volunteers with parental approval and will not be eligible for compensation.
 

All cast and crew members receive water and dinner during event nights, and we host cast gatherings and appreciation events throughout the year as a thank-you for helping bring our haunt to life.
 

We encourage anyone interested in becoming a scare actor, technician, queue-line entertainer, customer service representative, or other support staff member to review the information below before applying.

WHEN:

• Auditions for scare acting roles are held on select dates between June and September. Follow our social media channels or contact us directly for information on upcoming casting calls and audition opportunities.
  
  Our current Casting Call Dates are as listed:

  • Saturday July 11th, 2026 4pm-6pm​

  • Saturday August 1st, 2026 4pm-6pm

  • Saturday August 15th, 2026 4pm-6pm
     

• ​Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and responses may take up to 5–10 business days. Please check both your inbox and spam/junk folder for updates.

• Individuals interested in volunteer, backstage, technical, customer-facing, or support positions are encouraged to apply at any time and attend casting calls when possible.

• Detailed schedules, rehearsal dates, and event dates will be provided upon acceptance into the cast or crew. As our season takes place during Florida's hurricane season, operational changes may occasionally occur. We will provide as much advance notice as possible regarding schedule adjustments and weather-related concerns.

Requirements for all positions​​

• Paid scare actors must be at least 16 years old and able to pass a background check. Volunteer opportunities may be available for younger participants with parental approval.

• Anyone under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign all required waivers and paperwork.

• Must maintain a positive attitude, be dependable, and work well as part of a team.

• Must be willing to take direction, adapt to changing situations, and contribute to a safe and enjoyable environment.

• Must have reliable transportation to and from rehearsals and event nights.

• Must be able to perform the essential duties of the role, which may include standing and/or walking for extended periods, navigating uneven terrain, crouching, jumping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in low-light environments.
